A pool of expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Prem’IMPACT University Hospital Federation (FHU) brings together clinical teams (gynecology-obstetrics, neonatal pediatrics, psychiatrists and psychologists, medically assisted procreation and hospital laboratories) and research teams (Institut Cochin, Institut Imagine Necker-Enfants-malades, IRD, Institut Pasteur, ESPCI), medically assisted procreation and hospital laboratories) and research teams (Institut Cochin, Institut Imagine Necker-Enfants-malades, IRD, Institut Pasteur, ESPCI), all of whom are developing research projects linked to perinatal inflammation, prematurity and its consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University clinical services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Six university perinatal centers in the Ile-de-France region participate in this network, as well as 2 maternity units in Benin and Senegal. These are the Cochin – Port Royal, Necker-Enfants Malades, Louis Mourier, Armand Trousseau and Robert Debr\u00e9 hospitals of the AP-HP, the GH Paris Saint-Joseph, as well as the CHU-MEL in Cotonou, Benin, and the CHU of Saint Louis, Senegal. These centers represent 30,00 births\/year, with over 2,500 premature babies, 220 doctors, 340 midwives and 600 nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research teams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Internationally recognized<\/strong>, the 24 Prem’IMPACT FHU research teams from a wide range of disciplines (epidemiology, genomics, molecular and cellular biology, pharmacology, microbiology, immunology, physics-chemistry, psychology and social sciences) share innovative concepts, technologies and tools. They collaborate closely with each other and with clinicians to ensure that research directly benefits patients. It is from this pooling that tomorrow’s innovations will emerge. The expertise and size of this consortium will enable FHU Prem’IMPACT to develop ambitious projects on a national and international scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinical research support structures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These are platforms that implement translational research, i.e. the link between the fundamental research that is essential to all progress, and patient-centered clinical research: the Mother-Child Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) at APHP and the Vaccinology CIC at Cochin-Pasteur, the Clinical Research Coordination Center (PCRC) at Institut Pasteur and the Clinical Research Institute at Benin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
